Noemie Merlant

Noémie is a French model, actress and director. She started her career

as a professional model to pay for her acting School, Cours Florent,

in Paris. She is an ambassador of Louis Vuitton and a great friend of

Nicolas Ghesquièr. She had her international acting breakthrough in

the movie “Heaven Will Wait” in 2016, from which she was nominated

for the César Award for the Most Promising Actress. Noémie won the

Luminières Award for Best Actress for her performance in the movie

“Portrait of a Lady on Fire”, from which she was also nominated for the

César Award for Best Actress. It was announced that Merlant would play

the titular Emmanuelle in a reboot of the iconic film directed by Audrey Diwan.

Noémie has directed two short films, and in 2021, she made her feature

directorial debut with “Mi inibita, mon amour”, which premiered at

Cannes Film Festival.
