AMADOU

Originally from Senegal, Amadou came to London in December 2018 and got scouted a month later by Select while working in Selfridges, being signed in February 2019.

Amadou is a basketball player and horse rider, starring in many campaigns from Nike to Valentino, Topman to Mulberry and gracing the pages of multiple magazines including GQ Portugal, British GQ, Vogue Italia and Vogue CZ.

Walking for a variety of designers such as Helen Anthony, Qasami, Kaushik Valendra and Naomi Campbell Fashion for Relief, to name just a few, Amadou is no novice to the modelling world.

Now Amadou is branching out into the world of social media with over 18k followers on TikTok and 10k followers on Instagram. With his Select Family by his side, Amadou has a promisingly bright and prosperous future.

My name is Amadou and I am 24 years old !

Being 24 feels aged and young at the same time !

The vision I have of my twenties is like being in a  lift taking me from my youth to the adult life as if I was going from the ground floor to the first floor of a building.

But I feel more good about it than bad because it means maturity and progress in my life.

So far my favourite age was turning 18 because the relationship with ma parents changed and they gave me more respect , responsibilities and acknowledgement !

"I have two passion: horse riding because my mom was a horse riding teacher and basketball because my father was professional basketball player and I grew up in between the two.

I also Iove arts in general and especially 90’s movies and 90’s culture aswell as its fashion. Which is why i almost exclusively vintage shop

Im also a motorbike lover, that propably comes from the horse riding because there is a similar feeling with riding a horse and a bike.

I owned a vintage vespa 50cc moped that i recently sold to get a sport 125cc motorbike.

My current favorite vintage clothing is a french beret that I got from a vintage shop in brick lane."
